Hi! I’m Lauren — wife, mom of two amazing boys, and small-batch home baker. When it comes to baking, I’ve always been more intrigued by the journey than the destination.
Over the years, my curiosity led me to a collection of cookbooks and recipes that eventually overflowed pantries and card holders. I have stacks of magazine recipes stretching back to when I was 15 flipping through my mom’s Country Living magazine. As I got older and started a family, my husband and boys were always on hand to taste the first fruits—for better or for worse. Eventually, the biggest cheers came from my cookies and cinnamon rolls … the gooier the better.
I’m really pleased with the quality of what you get with Cinn-AMEN, but I think I’m most proud of the hard work that went into crafting each of these recipes.
My kitchen is all about the nostalgia of real life. It’s scribbled cards with ingredients you can barely make out anymore. My cookies and rolls are more than treats. They are memories of cold Christmas mornings passing out boxes to neighbors, they are kids running in from school grabbing a handful of whatever they could snatch from the jar, they are the aroma that filled the house as grandmas and aunties and friends gathered to bake, all the time reminiscing, laughing, and living. This is my sacred joy. Cinn-AMEN!
